We’re not talking about assisting Sarah Palin on her next helicopter hunting expedition.  We’re just loving this easy-to-wear short sleeve chambray shirt in gray.  It feels fresh even after quite a few seasons of chambray mania.  It also makes your arms look slightly more jacked-up than their usual jacked-upness.

We’re big fans of making our own cut-offs.  We use either an old pair of long pants that we already own or buy a pair on sale for dirt cheap.  Right now, cords seem to be the cut-offs du jour, but chinos and jeans will work just fine. The ideal inseam length is between nine and eleven inches. Start at eleven and cut again if it feels too long.  Be careful!  It’s better to have to cut two or three times to achieve the ideal length than to cut once and find your reflection staring back at you in a pair of Dasiy Dukes.

Offset all the washed neutral color on top with a blip of unexpected pop color in a new pair of retro running shoes.  We love these vintage kicks that go with all the khaki, gray, white and navy that has accumulated in your closet over the years.

Since ”rad” is not an adjective we use to describe ourselves, we’re shying away from the whack prints that have overtaken most of the swimwear industry.  Instead, our favorite four feel fresher in solid neutral colors with athletic stripes and bright pops.
